Toni Mahkonen has been appointed as the Property Coordinator for Turku Free Zone Company as of April 7, 2026.
In his role, he is responsible for the maintenance, technical functionality, and coordination of services related to the company’s properties. Additionally, his responsibilities include cooperation with stakeholders and tasks related to property development.

We asked Toni a few questions regarding his new role:
Tell us briefly about your background.
“I have worked in property maintenance and technical management for over ten years. By education, I am an HVAC installer, and alongside my work, I also completed a Special Specialist Qualification in Property Services. During my career, I have been responsible for the operational management, technical maintenance, and guidance and orientation of staff. Most recently, I worked as a Maintenance Supervisor, where I was responsible for customer accounts, service quality, and the smooth running of daily operations.”
What made you apply for the position?
“The position immediately caught my interest because it combines technical property responsibility, customer cooperation, and operational development. I wanted new challenges and the opportunity to get involved in developing operations long-term together with the team. Turku Free Zone Company also seemed to have a good work community and a great get-things-done attitude, which felt like a right fit immediately. Furthermore, the opportunity to take on more responsibility and further develop myself motivated me to apply.”
What do you look forward to the most in your new role?
“I look forward most to being able to develop operations and deepen my expertise regarding the properties and the warehouse area. I have been working here for about a month now, and the start has gone well. I have enjoyed my time immensely; I have been welcomed warmly, and help has always been available when needed. The month-long onboarding by the now-retired Property Manager, Reima, helped tremendously in getting a grip on the properties and working methods right from the start.”
What greetings would you like to send to our customers or partners?
“I want to thank everyone for the warm welcome. The first month has gone by really quickly. There is still a lot to learn, but I have integrated well into the operations and have gotten to know both the properties and the people. My goal is to cooperate openly, keep the service smooth, and be an easily approachable partner in everyday situations.”
